INU uses a lossless M/S ("nulling") upmix design, so the full surround output always recombines exactly to your original stereo. Push energy into the bed, wides and heights with confidence — the mix is always recoverable.

Lossless upmix

A nulling M/S architecture splits every input into Direct and Diffuse energy and places it across the field, perfectly reversible to the source stereo. A Nulling ⇄→ Energy fader morphs to a fuller, power-complementary room when you want it.

Build the whole Dolby Atmos layout — bed, wide channels and heights — from Quad/5.1 up to 9.1.6, driven by musical controls rather than routing spreadsheets.

Real-time 3D visualiser

A live OpenGL spatial energy view shows Direct and Diffuse energy as a smokey halo across the speaker field, with a moving centroid so you can read the balance at a glance.

Headtracked binaural

Fold the full field to binaural stereo in real time for headphone monitoring — with OSC headtracking, or emulate a tracker and drive the head from the spatial view.

Decorrelation

Multi-band all-pass decorrelation adds width and envelopment across the field without changing the spectral content — subtle or dramatic, always mono-compatible below your chosen cutoff.

Output routing matrix

A built-in patchbay lets you override however your DAW orders channels, solo any output, and fold C & LFE to dual-mono for stereo multi-out hosts.

Surround-input upmix

Feed INU an existing 5.1 or 7.1 master and expand it up to 9.1.6 — the bed passes through untouched while INU generates only the added surround and height channels.

Downmix-reference presets

Target how your mix folds down — Off / BS.775 / Atmos / Cinematic, with per-zone Surround and Height weighting — so a downstream downmix stays level-matched to your immersive master.

Loudness & delivery compliance

Built-in BS.1770 metering with delivery-target presets (Streaming, Apple, Atmos, EBU R128…), a Safe-to-print lamp and transparent True-Peak trim — check and hit spec without leaving the plug-in.
